Governance

A board of 25 directors governs the Charities and its operations are facilitated through two standing committees: Community Health Assessment, and Grant Evaluation. The board sets policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and appropriate distribution of funds in accordance with community needs, the Charities mission, and Texas law. The Rt. Rev. Andy Doyle serves as chair, Mrs. Judy Spence Tate serves as executive chair, while David J. Fine Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System, and Patricia Gail Bray, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Charities, serve as ex-officio members. Committee chairs are: Peggy Smith, Ph.D., Community Health Assessment; Lilly Andress, Grant Evaluation. Michelle Lyn, M.D., co-chairs the Community Health Assessment Committee and Cynthia Adkins co-chairs the Grant Evaluation Committee.
